Within the new realm of my work, I have created a narrative for Monarch butterflies. I have created 200 monarch butterflies out of copper. 70 that are shown in the images below; of those 70 28 will have an image transfer and will be considered "perfect". The last 30 would be the ones that have made it to the American Dream. The shadow that is cast from the butterfly represents the people of immigration. By creating this installation, the monarch butterfly symbolizes the ability to move freely across borders.
